Roast Coffee House opened in Morristown in October 2025. Their menu highlights signature drinks such as their Motown latte, banana bread latte, and Roasty Toasty Smores latte. Roast has gathered so much attention online from the growing appeal for the “cafe aesthetic,” where people promote going to small, local cafes to work or get a fun drink. This trend has given exposure to many cafes like Roast, making the cafe a staple in Morristown.
Each month, Roast comes out with a themed drink menu, and this month they came out with St. Patrick’s Day-themed drinks: the Lucky Charms Matcha and the Feelin’ Lucky Latte. I tried the Feelin’ Lucky Latte, and it was amazing. The latte has a mix of vanilla syrup and cold foam topped with Lucky Charms marshmallows. I fully mean it when I say that this is hands down the best iced coffee I’ve ever had. It was the perfect balance of sweet and bold. The flavor of the coffee was not compromised by the flavors or toppings. In fact, they reinforced each other. The coffee relied on the milk to balance and fully shine through. Overall, if you are a coffee lover or have never tried it. I truly encourage you to try Roast for their creative and unique lattes!
Broadway Hot and Honey Chicken, which opened in Westfield in July 2025, has quickly become a popular spot renowned for its trendy atmosphere and flavorful cuisine. The restaurant has a fun, energetic vibe that definitely lives up to the hype, especially with how talked-about it is on social media.
When I visited, I tried the viral fried chicken Caesar wrap, French fries, and buffalo wings. While I couldn’t order everything, I would definitely go back to try their waffle fries, chicken sandwich, and Oreo pudding shake. The Caesar wrap was really good. The chicken was really crispy and flavorful, and it paired perfectly with the salad inside it. It didn’t feel too heavy, which made it a solid choice if you want something filling but not too substantial. The fries were classic, but done really well. They were soft on the inside but perfectly cooked on the outside, and had just the right amount of salt. The wings were probably my favorite part. They were tender and had a buffalo sauce around them that was creamy but not too spicy. Overall, Broadway Hot and Honey Chicken lives up to its reputation. Between the atmosphere and amazing food, it’s a place I would recommend, and most definitely go back to.
