Iceland Trip- Anna Wojie ’25

This February, Oak Knoll 7th-9th grade students will embark on an exciting trip to Iceland. This is the first Iceland trip Oak Knoll has organized, and it takes place from February 15-20. The students will participate in various activities such as hiking, visiting the Blue Lagoon, and even seeing the Northern Lights! Although this will be a thrilling adventure, there is much preparation to be done. The girls have known about this trip for over a year, and it will soon take place!

On day 1, they will travel to the Blue Lagoon to relax, enjoy face masks, and experience a spa journey. Day 2 includes a Golden Circle Tour, which exhibits some of Iceland’s most iconic sites. The girls will also be taking a glacier hike led by an experienced guide. Day 3 consists of exploring the city, visiting the Reykjavik Maritime Museum, and seeing the famous Lutheran Cathedral. Alongside that, they will be seeing a Lava Show and end the evening with a fun night of bowling. On day 4, the journey will continue through Iceland’s beautiful farmlands. The students will see one of the largest waterfalls in the country. Finally, to end the trip, they will visit Iceland’s longest lava tunnel. This will be a breathtaking experience for all of the girls attending, creating memories they will cherish forever!
