Super Bowl LV

The Super Bowl LV definitely looked different this year without the usual 80,000 people watching from the stands; however, the game still contained the suspenseful excitement of a championship matchup. The Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers competed in the 55th Super Bowl, and both teams featured star players. Tom Brady was the Buccaneers’ most valuable player, leading his winning team in their second Super Bowl appearance. Brady is used to championship fame, after already appearing in the Super Bowl 9 times prior to 2021 with his previous teams. According to Business Insider, he is arguably the best quarterback of all time. After earning five Super Bowl MVP awards—the most ever by a single player––it is apparent that he is one of the sport’s greatest. On the Chiefs’ side, quarterback Patrick Mahomes appeared in the second Super Bowl of his career. Considering he has only been in the NFL for four years, this is a very impressive resume for the 25 year old. Mahomes played a very strong game, but the Buccaneers came back stronger to win the game by 22 points. With a final score of 31 to 9, the Buccaneers defeated the Chiefs to win the Lombardi Trophy.
