With summer just around the corner and some free time gained with the end of classes and finals, it is the perfect time to look into starting a new show or watching a new movie. Netflix is the perfect place to find various new releases, as well as new seasons of the shows you already know and love!

Starting as early as June, there are many shows and movies to keep an eye out for!. If you are interested in sci-fi, you may be interested in watching the new movie Awake, which will be released on Netflix on June 9th. It’s about a world where electronics are wiped out, and humans have lost the ability to sleep. The main characters have to find a way to solve this crisis. If you are more interested in the fantasy genre, the new movie Wish Dragon may be perfect for you! This movie depicts a student who flys through Shanghai with a wish-making dragon to find his lost friend. If you are looking to start a new show in the month of June, look out for the Netflix original series, Sweet Tooth, that takes place in the wild and is produced by the well known Robert Downey Jr. These are just a few of the many new movies and shows to come to Netflix in June.

In July, there are even more! Two new movies in the romance drama will be released in late July entitled, The Last Letter from Your Lover, which was originally a book and will be starring the well known Shailene Woodley, and Resort to Love, a rom-com which focuses on a singer who ends up performing at her ex’s wedding! The show Beastars will also return with a second season at some point in July.

August consists of movies and shows that you need to watch! The third and final Kissing Booth movie will be released August 11th to wrap up the rom-com series. A highly anticipated spin-off of the famous She’s All That movie from the late 90s, He’s All That, starring Tik-Tok star Addison Rae and Cobra Kai’s Tanner Buchanan, will depict the interesting dynamic between Rae and Buchanan’s characters.

Other shows without release dates include the fourth season of Atypical, the third season of Dead to Me, the fourth season of Ozark, and more. Some of the many movies with dates to still be released include Back to the Outback, The Harder They Fall, and Intrusion.
