Cruella: May 28th The  101 Dalmatians Franchise continues! Emma Stone stars as Cruella de Ville in 1970s London. An aspiring fashion designer, Cruella becomes obsessed with the furs of Dalmatians, leading to the story we all know well. The film follows her life story leading up to the Dalmatians storyline, making it an interesting commentary on the lives of perceived “villains”. Cruella is set to release on Disney Plus on May 28th.

A Quiet Place Part 2: May 28th Fans of 2018’s hit horror movie A Quiet Place are highly anticipating this sequel! Set in a post-apocalyptic world, both movies follow a family forced to survive the conditions of a world taken over by blind monsters with a highly sensitive sense of hearing. Starring John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmons, and Noah Jupe, this movie is set to be the horror movie of the season! Watch it in theaters on May 28th.

Summer of Soul: July 2nd Who says documentaries are boring? Summer of Soul follows the story of the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival, which at the time was seen as an obscure gathering. Held at Mount Morris park, the Festival was a celebration of African American music and culture. Despite big-name headliners like Stevie Wonder, Mahalia Jackson, and Moms Mabley, the Festival was dubbed as enigmatic and mysterious. The documentary investigates these outside, ignorant perspectives. See it on Hulu or in theaters on July 2nd!

Stillwater: July 30th Starring everyone’s favorite Matt Damon, Stillwater is a crime-drama film that is sure to be the star of the season. The movie follows Bill Baker, an Oklahoma oil worker, and his mission to free his estranged daughter from prison in France. Having to deal with an unjust legal system, cultural differences, and a language barrier, Baker navigates France and its trials out of love for his daughter. See it in theaters on July 30th!
