Every year at Oak Knoll, we have the opportunity and pleasure of celebrating a handful of students from the senior class who have decided to extend their athletic careers in their sport as they enter college. These seniors are the student-athletes who have made verbal commitments to play a sport at a specific college, where they will pursue both academic and athletic goals. These verbal commitments became even more real for these athletes once they officially committed to these schools and have signed their letters of commitment.
On Wednesday, November 10th, 7 seniors signed their official letters of intent and commitment to the academic admissions process at Division 1 athletic programs and academic schools. All 7 athletes have very exciting futures ahead of them. Their hard work and dedication to each of their sports has paid off.
The athletes are listed below:
Lily Murphy ‘22- University of Pennsylvania, Cross Country & Track and Field
Alysa Ali ‘22- Cornell University, Squash
Sophie Wilkinson ‘22- Davidson College, Lacrosse
Trinity Koetje ‘22- Georgetown University, Lacrosse
Devon Gogerty ‘22- University of Virginia, Lacrosse
Mia Albano ‘22- Villanova University, Field Hockey
Sam Petrucco, ‘22- Columbia University, Field Hockey
Oak Knoll is very proud of its student-athletes for continuing their athletic and academic paths into college. Congratulations to these seven student athletes!
