Pandemic Update in NJ for Next Year

Gov. Murphy tests negative after learning of COVID exposure - WHYY

As the end of this school year approaches, the impending question on many students’, teachers’, and parents’ minds alike is what next year will look like. On March 17, Governor Phil Murphy announced that he anticipates every school in NJ will be operating full-time and in-person by the start of the 2021-2022 academic school year. Furthermore, no school in New Jersey will be authorized to offer online learning, and face masks will remain mandatory. Murphy reported that vaccination sites such as CVS, Walgreens, and RiteAid are prioritizing teachers and child care workers in the effort to return the lives of students back to normal. According to the New Jersey Department of Health, limitations on outdoor sports, including games and tournaments, have been lifted and restrictions on indoor sports activities plan to be removed on May 19*. As the world attempts to regain some aspects of life enjoyed before Covid-19, it is apparent that the best way for society to adapt is with cooperation and patience.
