Hispanic Heritage Month Acknowledgments-Esperanza Burbano ’26

September 15 through October 15, better known as Hispanic Heritage Month, is a yearly celebration in which the United States spends a month celebrating the contributions of Hispanic Americans. To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in our Oak Knoll Community, Mrs.Takenaga organized for two wonderful dancers to come in during General Homeroom and perform Bachata and Salsa. It involved the whole community and certain students were picked to dance on the floor of Campion and follow along while the rest of the students followed the dances from their seats. Students and faculty joined in on the fun by dancing and celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. This event was one filled with immense joy and was a way to embrace the beautiful dances of Bachata and Salsa, which are so commonly known in many Latin American countries.
