Farewell to Mr. White and Mrs. Hartnett

Megan McCann ’23

Whether she taught you about the path to wellness in Health class, how to hold a stick in lacrosse practice, or how to drive on the mean streets of New Jersey in Driver’s Ed, Mrs. Hartnett has had a tremendous impact on each student of the Oak Knoll community. Being a vital member of our school for 22 inspiring years, Mrs. Hartnett has profoundly guided countless students through both the Upper and Lower schools. Her dedication to our community is unbeatable, and her fulfillment of the Holy Child goals is quite admirable. Throughout her teaching journey, she has challenged students to reach their full potential and become the best version of themselves. Mrs. Hartnett has graciously given her all to our community, and we will forever be grateful for her education and wisdom.

In his 22 years of teaching, Mr. White has been a legendary asset to our Oak Knoll community. His enthusiasm and excitement for teaching is potent, and it is obvious that he truly cares about the wellbeing of every student he comes across. Mr. White’s lessons were always full of liveliness, and he put infinite amounts of effort and energy into our education to ensure that his students get the most out of their classes. Through his teaching, he instilled an attitude of positivity and joy into each of his students, and the Oak Knoll community is extremely grateful for all that he has done for us. Whether he coached your golf team or taught your sixth grade health class, Mr. White has always strived to be a positive influence to everyone he teaches. Our Oak Knoll family will miss him very much but we wish him only the best to come.
