This fall season, our Oak Knoll Royals have pushed through adversity and have been able to perform despite unwarranted setbacks due to the pandemic. Athletes across all Oak Knoll sports have overcome obstacles this year and have worked extremely hard to accomplish their goals.
Oak Knoll’s field hockey team has performed exceptionally throughout their entire season, winning a County Championship and a State Championship. Regardless of present circumstances, this team has proven that they are still a force to be reckoned with. The soccer team has also proven themselves this season with hard work and talent bringing them to the state championship. Despite their loss against Pingry with a score of 5-2, they pushed through by capitalizing on their wins this season. Both the seventh and eighth grade soccer and field hockey teams performed well this year with many wins and opportunities to play. Eighth graders look towards their season as freshmen next year, while the seventh graders look to become leaders on their current teams next year!
Cross Country has worked hard throughout their entire season. They finished their season with a sixth place team finish at Counties and NJSIAA State Sectionals! This was huge for the Royals as they finished off on a good note! Oak Knoll Tennis had a great fall season bringing much talent and teamwork to every practice and match. They competed throughout the season, consistently performing well, and became the NJSIAA Central East Region Group E champions! Despite having few regattas, the Sailing team had a great season. Although they faced obstacles due to current times, that didn’t stop them from getting on the water and sailing!
Overall, the fall season was a very successful one for the Royals and all of the fall athletes should be proud of what they have accomplished this year!
