Clue-Sara Kaplan ’26

Oak Knoll’s theater department starts off with a bang with the fan favorite play and film: Clue! Clue is a play based on a board game in which 6 people are summoned to Boddy Manor regarding the blackmail they’ve been paying to an anonymous man, only to become involved in a murder mystery.

I am part of the cast, and during several rehearsals, I have spoken to different cast members on different topics regarding the play: their roles, why they love this show, and why they love participating in dramatica.

The first person I spoke to was Maddie Sherry, who is playing Wadsworth, the butler.

“How do you feel about the role you got?” I asked her.

“Wadsworth is my dream role,” Sherry responded. “I’ve always loved the movie.”

“Why do you love being a part of the play?” I asked Sherry next.

“I can be as dramatic as I want,” she replied.

Next, I talked to Penelope Muirhead, who’s playing the cook.

“What would you say to someone who wants to join dramatica?” I asked Muirhead.

“It is a wonderful opportunity for self expression,” she told me, and I would have to agree. There is a sense of community within the cast.

Lastly, I talked to Scarlett Mahoney, who is playing Mr. Green.

“How would you describe your character?” I asked her.

“He’s a very nervous and clumsy man,” Mahoney told me. “He also has multiple secrets,” she adds.

“What would you say to entice someone to come see Clue?” I asked her next.

“It’s a mystery and a comedy,” she says. “If you like to laugh, you should come see it.”

And there you have it! Three interviews with the cast of Clue! Though tickets are not on sale yet, they will be five dollars when they are! Who will be murdered? Who will be the murderer? Come to see the show on November 1st or 2nd to find out!
